I’m so proud to share this short video of Rose-Thamar Joseph speaking on behalf of our center at Saturday’s Love Thy Neighbor gathering in Springfield.
The event—organized by Springfield G92, a local faith-based coalition committed to welcoming immigrants and refugees—was a public show of love and support for Springfield’s Haitian community. Hundreds gathered at City Hall Plaza to say with one voice: you belong here.
I had hoped to be there with Rose, but I was in San Francisco for a hearing in the TPS lawsuit—standing alongside fellow plaintiffs—and my return flight was delayed. Rose brought the heart of our mission to the crowd, and I’m incredibly grateful to her.
To everyone in Springfield who showed up—thank you. Your presence means more than you know. And to all of you who support us from afar: we felt your love too.
